Allan Baillie is a fine art photographer based in New York and San Miguel de Allende. His black and white botanical photographs explore form, restraint, and permanence.
When Allan engaged my services, his goal was specific. He wanted to attract a publisher for a fine art book centered on his botanical work. He also needed a website capable of supporting exhibitions, consultants, and collectors without compromising the integrity of the work.
The site needed to function as a serious professional tool, not a promotional portfolio.
-
I designed the website to serve multiple audiences with distinct needs.
Publishers evaluating a cohesive body of work.
Art consultants sourcing for private and institutional clients.
Collectors seeking confidence in provenance and presentation.
I handled brand identity and website copy as part of the custom Squarespace build. This ensured the visual language, tone, and structure worked together as a single system.
-
The site draws directly from Allan’s photographic practice.
A restrained, editorial layout emphasizes tonal range and detail.
Warm, natural colors reference fine art printing and archival materials.
Classical typography reinforces longevity and seriousness.
To support Allan’s publishing goal, you created a digital flip book that presents the botanical series as a unified project, mirroring the experience of a physical art book.
I also developed a branded email newsletter as an optional extension. This gave Allan a direct channel to curators, consultants, and collectors, independent of social platforms.
-
The website has played a direct role in advancing Allan’s goals.
Allan secured a publishing contract with a UK publisher.
The book is scheduled for release in fall 2026.
Since launch, Allan has exhibited his work multiple times.
He has made significant print sales through art consultants in Europe and the United States.
The site now functions as a durable professional asset. It supports institutional opportunities, publishing relationships, and serious sales.

Custom Site for Fine Art Photographer
“Before working with Elizabeth, my website was a costly, hidden corner of the internet. I needed a fresh start but worried about costs and finding someone who understood an artist's needs. I've now landed major clients, received countless compliments, and got an invitation to exhibit in Europe.”
